MiamiBusinessGroups.com (MBG) is back after an 8 month hiatus! Much planning was done and we believe you will be happy with the results. We have teamed up with several local leaders and we feel confident that this overall project will be a success. I have decided to write about this process as our initial story here at MBG.

In every successful business venture, you need key players on your team in order to achieve your goals and responsibilities; this is what many refer to as a "Power Team". For me personally, a power team consists of 7 key players that will assist one in their business. The logical ones are an accountant, an attorney, a business coach, an IT individual, a public relations person, a marketing professional, and of course, a private banker. This will vary from industry to industry. As a general rule of thumb, you should always consider hiring individuals that have a higher skill set that yours. Although this might be a difficult idea to gauge, one obvious advantage is that, as they say, "Knowledge is Power" and this is one area where we can easily capitalize in. So, I challenge you to pick your 7! If you analyze your existing power team and you feel there is a weak spot, perhaps it is time to make a change in that particular area. Many times those "weak links" do not necessarily mean that they are weak in their fields–or even as partners, but many times it’s more of having that person not be the “right fit” for the company and its end goal.
