It's been awhile since Milpitas High has had an active Filipino club and just in February of 2009, Club Mabuhay became an active Filipino club on campus. With a successful comeback, increase on members, participation in FYC's Battle of the Tribes, and more participation from students from the school, it is a definite that a Filipino Club will stay active within the next couple years. Starting the 2009-2010 school year, Club Mabuhay will change their name to the traditional Filipino club name, P.U.S.O. Milpitas High's P.U.S.O is a Filipino club in which current students of Milpitas High can join. P.U.S.O stands for Pilipino United Student Organization and means "heart" in Tagalog. The purpose of P.U.S.O is to provide knowledge of the Filipino history and culture, to enhance the foundation of students of all cultural backgrounds, and to engage in fun and friendly related activities. In hopes of creating a strong bond with one another throughout the whole school year. This club is a great way to learn about the Filipino culture and unite with other students who have the same interest of the Filipino culture. Meetings will be held every other week on Thursdays during lunch in L35.
