"Mark was one of my first flickr contacts and has become a friend over time. His images are always exceptional and his photoshopping skills are awesome. Knowing him and going on photo shoots together have made me a better photographer as well-
Just wanted to say thanks Mark!"

"Mark is truly an inspiration to me. His passion is evident in all of his work; pure raw passion. His eye is so intense, seeing beyond the norm and seeing a moment that most would not see.
On a personal level, Mark is an incredible soul... so nice and compassionate and always comments on everyone's work, expecting nothing in return.
Thanks for being part of my flickr family Mark :)"

"I would say say I've encountered Mr. Baker about-at the most-five years ago when he ran a yahoo group (I myself had one around the same time). His sensual, yet positive photos of women (of all ethnicities-esp. minority women) seem to stir even the DULLEST of the senses and that's what make this cat very unique. In spite of his disability, anything that he lacks in one area, he makes up for in TWO-sometime three or more-areas! That's what makes him who and what he is. I predict that one day his work will win a nomination for either Nobel, Pulitzer, or any other award that is consistent with photography of all sorts. Like other photographers before and after him, his work tells vivid stories that can stir one's imagination."

"Mark answered my silent prayers by contacting me, just days before I was due to give birth to my baby. He asked if I was interested in being photographed. I checked out his immensely talented work and decided to do this! I am a bit uneasy about being photographed, but he has a natural eye took some amazing shots that day. I've truly enjoyed his beautiful shots of nature, architecture, people.. and am completely honored to have met him, and and that he helped us to document one of the most treasured times in my life.

    This is brilliant work!!"

"about my fav clown Mark.....i would like to meet Mark, he takes the most beautiful pics, even though he doesn't think so. i love it that he's humble, an attribute that more people should have...his photos capture ALL kinds of things we wouldn't even notice, till we see it in a pic. He is really cool and funny too. ;) makes me sad that he doesn't think his work is great because it definitely is!!! I really enjoy having Mark for a friend here in flickr, because i love to take pics since i was little. ok, i didn't grow a lot, so i'm still little, but i didn't get any comments ever, or know what groups and contacts were, or testimonials either. but now that i've been checking out his art..and yes, i'll happily miss my fav shows on tv to watch eye-candy photos anytime, now i'm in groups thanks to Mark and wolf49 getting me involved. Mark.....a true artist and Pro Photographer, and most of all....
A Hero who gave, to save. blessings to you Mark, and keep up the wonderful work. i know ya love it. .. ;)"

"In his profile, Mark Baker says he wishes his photography would improve. I guess that's probably a universal sentiment that all photographers share, but in Mark's case I think he's not seeing the improvement he wants because there is almost nothing in the field that he has not already mastered.

Mark is a photographer's photographer: techinically as proficient as one ever can get, possessing a keen eye for composition, equally adept at capturing landscapes, architecture, still life and live models.

He also is a great guy to have as a contact, as he visits often -- even contacts like me who aren't as good at reciprocating -- and his comments are always warm, generous and supportive.

To sum up, Mark is the kind of photographer everyone hopes to meet when joining Flickr."
