The original idea for Metagamers became a reality in May of 2003 when Rick Daino (aka: Psychonaut) felt that the traditional print publications in addition to the existing on line gaming news sites were not focused enough on what has made the gaming industry so successful, it’s community.

Metagamers mission has and always will be on the gaming community and while the site has seen it’s fair share of ups and downs in addition to numerous changes the focus has always been the same.

In February 2009 we re launched Metagamers with many new features that our gaming community has asked for while adding many of today’s web 2.0 technologies as feature sets. Our goal is to provide you (the gaming community) with an honest take on todays games (from those who play them)!
