I've been enamored by the seaside as long as I can remember. The only time I feel graceful is when i am at home in the water. So.. you know why I am a mermaid.

While we were building our pool bath, I discovered glass tile. The colors, reflections, and textures just took my breath away. I started to mosaic. I found I couldn't stop. It has become my passion, my friend, my therapy..

Glass tile led to ceramic tile, stones, jewelry, there appears to be no end to what you can use in mosaics...

My mosaics to date center around my love of the sea. I've done fishes, dolphins, sea turtles, and of course, mermaids!! I love to use recycled tiles, especially my favorite, glow in the dark Organiks. I also like to insert humor in my pieces, something to make you smile.

I am just newbie at mosaics. It's been less than 2 years since I completed my first. I look forward to following where my mosaics lead me, experimenting, all the while, enjoying this thing called mosaics.

of course, the new jewelry I am designing, has to fit my lifestyle, so it will be with what I call a "tropical attitude" I am also designing medical id bracelets that aren't your hohum clunker of the past.
