My interest in photography started when I lived in Guam in Micronesia for 3 years, where scuba diving was a way of life. I had a Canon New F1 and took both land and underwater photos.
I had a huge collection of slides that have been scanned into digital format, and were suffering from old age.

My interest and time in photography had faded over the last 10 years, but in 2007 I got back into it. I share a Fuji F460 point and shoot, and a Canon 400D with my daughter.

The 400D is very different from my old F1, and I am taking time to get used to it. Also new to me is the availability of Photoshop and other digital tools.

Please feel free to comment on my photos if you like them or want to know something. Just keep it clean as this is a family show.

Let the good times roll.

Want to use a simple HTML code to add to a page -
<a href="URL">TEXT</a>
Just replace URL with the webaddress and replace TEXT with your word/s in the hyperlink. You can use it in the middle of a sentence.

I have started building a Google map of Brisbane showing links to my geographic images. This is a work in progress though at the moment.
Google has done a good job on their maps.

"I love Jim's humor probably as much as his photography. I can always look forward to a witty or dry comment on my own photos as well as appreciation and support. from Jim. That said, Jim's is a very good photographer and seems to have found his calling in macros. His underwater pictures from Guam are fabulous glimpses into the underwater world and his latest flower collection is just beautiful! Jim gets the whole family involved in his photos and they are collectors of very interesting things, so his photos are never predictable and I love that. Jim's halfway around the world from me but I feel like he lives just around the corner. Mrs. Mail, you've got a good one, and Rumblemumbles, you have a pretty cool dad!"
