Hi my name is Matt,

Photography is an enjoyable hobby that I mostly do on weekends. I enjoy digital photography as well as film. Over the last few months, I have been taking a lot more photos with film as this encourages me to think about the composition/lighting before I take the picture. Hopefully, using this technique will enable me to learn / develop my photographic skills and create wonderful pictures.

Over the last year, I have started to collect old and new cameras. I particularly like the old Pentax Spotomatic cameras from the 1970’s. I have been using the Pentax to shoot black and white photos.

It’s kind of sad that as a digital photographer we don’t really print our photos. In 2010, I have started printing some of my digital photos. In 2011, I plan to increase the ratio of digital photos to digital prints (except client event and studio photos).
