I'm that girl. The one with the camera who's always taking pictures at the store, at the restaurant, at the party, at the reunion. My friends from college will thank me in a decade when they realize most of their memories come with pictures from my camera attached.

I've been dabbling in and interested in photography since high school, when I somehow convinced my mother to purchase an SLR camera for me so I could ace my photography classes. Remember when developing film required red lights and stinky chemical baths? I do! While I don't have a DSLR currently — hey I'm only a journalist and not a photojournalist — I have a pocket-size camera as well as a micro-four thirds camera, which is pretty much the next best thing. I wanted to re-teach myself the things I've long forgotten before laying out too much capital. It's exciting to rediscover my inner photographer.
