I still catch myself sometimes looking around the newsroom and thinking, "I can't believe I get paid to do this." To watch and talk to people. To ask the questions and find the answers everyone wants to know. To write every day and never wonder if someone will read it. To look out for new and innovative ways to tell the stories of the people and places I come across. To do what I love.
I'm a journalist. At 23, I'm a contradiction. I work for a newspaper and earned a degree in just that discipline. But I'm a realist, and I've always known newspapers aren't my future. They're not even my now. They're an entry point into that future, the world that only exists in the ideas of myself and the other realists like me. The world my generation is helping create.
I've been creating Web pages since I was 10 years old. I remember when a 33 Kbps modem was cutting edge, when an animated gif was high class. We've come a long way. I've come a long way. But there is so much more out there for me.
I'm Female and Single.
