Menstrala's photostream

Over the course of three years, Vanessa Tiegs created 88 paintings to affirm the bright red cycle -- the hidden forbidden monthly renewal process. She has called her painting series "Menstrala" and 13 of her 88 Menstrala are published here and are currently available for gallery showings. Vanessa has donated proceeds from the sale of originals and color prints to The Centre for Menstrual Cycle and Ovulation Research at the University of British Columbia.

Vanessa's most recently painted Menstrala, not yet published, were painted as a collaborative effort with Red Hot Chili Peppers rocker, Dave Navarro, for a TV pilot-series called "Deeper."
