With a minimalist sensibility, Megan Prince (b. 1978, Sacramento, CA) explores arrested and passing time within relationships. The artist’s prolific body of work in sculpture and site specific installation, as well as on paper and canvas, has recently grown to include performance art. Her work Eight Years and 12 Days (2008), was recently performed at Rififi, New York, as part of the artist cooperative Existencia.

At the University of Washington, Seattle, Prince earned a pair of bachelor’s degrees in 2002 in inter-disciplinary visual arts as well as painting, with a dance minor. In July of 2006, the artist moved from Seattle to New York to pursue her M.F.A. at Brooklyn College, CUNY, New York. She will be graduating from Brooklyn College this May.
