A charity festival held annually on August Bank Holiday weekend in Caerphilly to raise money for Velindre Cancer appeal. In recent years, Megaday has grown to incorporate a 6-a-side football tournament, a fun run & a battle of the bands competition.

2006 saw the 12th Megaday take place, raising even more much needed funds for Velindre Hospital.

Megaday Started in 1995 by the people of Caerphilly as a tribute to a close friend and fellow musician Andrew Nichols who lost his battle with cancer. Andrew Nichols was known to his friends as Mega (thus the name Megaday).

In August 2001 we also lost Paul Grahame (PG) to cancer. Paul had played at every Megaday with his band PG and the Tips and had also played a major role in the organisation of every Megaday.
