I love life! And capturing the {simple} moments that make it magical. I have a wonderful husband and the sweetest 6 year old step-son, both of whom I love more than anything. They inspire me and support me more than i could ever ask for.
My husband bought me my first DSLR last Christmas (08) and i haven't stopped clicking away since...
I've finally had to courage to pursue my passion. As i was rapidly approaching 30, i decided that I'm never going to be a photographer if i don't try... that i'm getting too old to make excuses and that i need to take my life by the reigns and stop being so afraid of failure.
Trey Ratcliff from stuckincustoms said, as if speaking directly to me, "you've got one life here so you might as well start applying yourself" and "nothing in life is worth doing unless you are going to be serious about it". About the same time i was reading a book that reminded me of the quote by Henry Ford, "whether you think you can or you can't, you're right". I used to limit myself because of my self-doubt; and it felt like a prison! But i have come to realize that I'll never know if i don't at least try.. (one more quote, I can't resist!) "Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go" T.S. Elliot.

That said, here I am! :) I have found that it is not nearly as scary as i had once thought and even if no one likes my images, it makes me happy to take them and really that's all that matters! I'm so excited to see where these endeavors take me and for the journey ahead! I would love if this passion could end up serving others and be for something other than myself. I would love to help people see their own beauty and uniqueness and to empower them and make a difference in their lives and in the process, glorify our Father in heaven.

I have found such inspiration from all the wonderfully talented photographers on flickr and I would appreciate any feedback any of you have for my development and growth! That said, i do have the pictures i take of kids set to friends and family only because I'm paranoid about what people might do with them. If you are interested in seeing those, message me and i MAY decide to add you.

If i added you as a friend and you have no idea who i am, that's why.. it's because i found you and see that you are a neat photographer (and most likely not a psycho who does bad things with pictures) and i want you to be able to see the picutres i take of kiddos.

Anyway, I ramble... sorry! I think that about sums it up!
