Phil Romans. Get yours at bighugelabs.com/flickr

I have always found photography to be fun. When I was a
kid, it was something to show people, and to explain something differently than
other people might have seen. Growing up, photos meant film and not all the
fancy stuff I have now. Film meant money, which meant I didn't shoot much. I
took photos still, but without money to buy new film it was nearly impossible to
do it. I can still recall how much fun it was to go to K-Mart and get your
photos back. You never knew what was all on the roll because it took so long to
complete one!

Then came the digital film revolution... I saw the light, literally and
figuratively. (well, after a couple years of refinement- I didn't see the logic
in floppy disks as 'film') I was no longer restricted by rolls of film, number
of shots, and money to develop... and I could tell if the picture was any good
right then and there!

I am slowly, and hopefully always, getting better at people pictures, nature
photos, and travel photos. Digital it makes it a lot easier to get results for
me. I am a geek at heart.

And the biggest reason I like the back end of the camera, I get to take the
photos and no one is taking them of me!

"You'll come for the U2 photos, you'll stay for the nature and other shots! Really great stuff from Phil on a regular basis - definitely a photostream to keep your eye on, always!"

"Phil's stream is well worth a visit.

Whether it's his shots of Sierra, his puppers, or the wonderful outdoors he explores with her, the emotions that hit you are delight, awe, wonderment, joy and a side of warm fuzzies!
His band shots are phenomenal and par with the great rock photographers, for sure.

And most importantly -- he's a very rad guy!

"I have to admit I am addicted to his shots the clarity and texture always make me check out the next image and then the next. Good job!

"I *love* this guy! He's got heart and is deeply compassionate about his buds. He knows how to take a great photo, and he also knows how to crop a photo to look like it's a spin-off of the Blair Witch project."

"It's been really fun watching Phil progressively get better and better behind the lense. His eye is getting really good at picking out interesting nature shots and I'm sure it will carry over to his people shots. I know that Phil is loving his new camera and is anxious to learn the craft of photography. It's really interesting to see someone on their way up...
