The M.D. of Lesser Slave River # 124 is a municipal district in north-central Alberta, Canada, spanning more than 10,000 square kilometres and home to approximately 2,800 people.

The small communities of Canyon Creek,Chisholm, Flatbush, Marten Beach, Smith, Wagner, and Widewater are located within the M.D. boundaries along with campgrounds galore, beaches, and marinas.

Mitsue Industrial Park is located 10 kilometers east of Slave Lake. A conglomeration of forest mills, oil and gas facilities, and supporting industial services exist to drive the local economy.
