Most of my photos are uploaded in sort of a jumble, unrelated, not too organized. Some are old, some are new. Most are from Illinois and Wisconsin which is where I've lived my whole life. I divide my photo-taking between an ancient digital and a couple film cameras.

I had a black and white darkroom years ago that's still sitting in my basement yearning to be put back together. Also have my late great-uncle's darkroom stuff from the 1940s as well as his old Speed Graphic. That shall be resurrected one day as well.

Many of these photos were shot on film, then scanned from rather smallish prints. Some were scanned from slides (only twelve hundred or so more slides to go) and negatives. They test the limits of the old scanner, but they look OK to me. I don't have any great photographic philosophy. It's sort of how I think of music - if I like it, it's good. The end.

I use mostly a Canon Ftb, Pentax ZX-5n, and a nine-year-old 2.1mp Vivitar ViviCam 3635 (damn if that wouldn't have sounded futuristic back in the 60s!).

Update! Now have a Canon PowerShot Elph 100 HS digital. Pretty slick compared to the old Vivitar.

If, for whatever strange reason, you'd like to use one of my photos, please ask first.
