"Hello 40"

Picture or photograph? That is the ultimate question I ask myself when I am capturing images.

I am a freelance photographer from Moore, Oklahoma. My career in photography started late in life. My wonderful husband pushed me to attend the Oklahoma School of Photography. A whole new world was opened up to me. No longer would I just take snap shots here and there and wish I could do something with it.

My love for photography started at a young age, when my father would drag out the slide projector and slides. He showed us his world in Korea while he was in the army. His images inspired me. When I was in my early 20's, he died from cancer and I received the boxes of slides, the projector and screen. I clicked them over and over and realized my love for photography was genetic.

Photography is a hobby, outlet, job and sense of being for me. No matter the mood I'm in, as soon as I pick up my camera...I'm home.

Thanks to all of you who have made me a contact. I hope I have at least one photograph that will touch you in some way.
Feeling Small

The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider's web.

"I found Tina's work with a flickr search on other Oklahoma-area photo enthusiasts. What I found with her is a great range of photographic subjects. She has a good eye for what is artistic or interesting, and how it can be photographically captured. She is innovative and I enjoy seeing her work from time to time to draw inspiration when I feel frustrated and/or uninspired with my own photographic pursuits."

"Tina says she came to photograph late - proving once again, that talent will always eventually find it's proper outlet - in this case it was also a perfect outlet! Tina's photographs are a reflection of her being - her place, background & experience. Often hauntingly spare they are full of emotion and executed with a skill that always leaves me wishing I could see with her eyes. But then, with her lens, she lets me - us - do just that. Tina, you hope that "at least one photograph" will touch us... I think you have already gone far beyond that! Thank you."
