Humm... what am I expected to say here?

I first picked up a camera in the early 80's. It was a 110 fixed lens P&S but I had a blast with it. I quickly reached the limitations of the format and upgraded to 35mm. The two mostly P&S 35mm cameras I have clicked through many many rolls of film. Partys, events and outings, I'd always bring my camera. People were always asking for copies of my photographs. If I was there with my camera my friends would dub me 'official photographer' of whatever event was going on.

In 2001 I switched over to Digital with a Canon A20 2MP camera. Still very much a P&S, this allowed me to get exposed to post processing and the creation of Photo Albums, CD's and DVD's. A few thousand photographs were taken with that camera.

In 2005 I finally upgraded to a Canon S70. While still a pocketable P&S, this brought me full manual control, RAW file output and the ability to crop the 7.1MP images.

Come 2007 and a few 1000 images later I was becoming frustrated with the shutter lag, battery life and creative control of the S70. While wanting to upgrade to something that cost less than $500, I found that all my choises were 'almost like' a DSLR and finally decided why not get the real thing?

While most of the rest of the world were waiting on the release of the 450D, I picked up a overpricedf 400D at a local Bestbuy and have not looked back.

9 months and a few 1000 clicks and $$$ later, I found myself wanting more and upgraded to a 50D.

I'm now equiped to experiment in many types of photography and set aside at least 1 day or evening a week to practice my art.
