My full name is Milica Popovic Bubanja. I was born in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia and the former Yugoslavia. I spent my childhood and youth on the coast of Peru, in the small town of Piura. I now live in the beautiful country of Slovenia with my husband and two boys.

Making jewelry makes me very happy! Every piece is an exploration of creativity, an outpouring of soul. I get lost in concentration. I get challenged. I get drawn into every piece’s story, its own unique being. And when it’s done, I know that I’ve made something that brings beauty into the world, and hopefully makes other people happy as well.

I use various materials – polymer clay, silver clay, felt, cotton, synthetic sap and semi precious stones. I often make my own tools (e.g., carved stamps and textures) as well as metal parts, which adds to the uniqueness. All the metal parts of my jewelry are made from high quality silver, that is sometimes oxidized naturally, without using harmful chemicals.
I love a challenge. I love the process. I love the results. I hope that you will too.
