The Lighthouse exists to give hope and provide a safe home for women and children whose lives have been touched by domestic violence, past abuse, trauma or chronic homelessness.

The lighthouse is a ministry to help restore broken vessels.

Our purpose is to work with individuals and communities by teaching skills and providing tools to heal in all areas of life, including spiritual, emotional, vocational, economical, social, physical, and mental.

We are pleased to provide updates about the amazing things God has been doing at The Lighthouse. We are touched on a regular basis by God’s blessings. He has seen our need and heard our many prayers and has helped bring a new, larger building a reality.

The Lighthouse has been providing services for over five years to women and children who are homeless or the victims of domestic violence. This facility also receives referrals from crisis pregnancy centers. Although the Lighthouse is located in Mayfield, services are available to anyone from anywhere. Predominantly, we have served those from Western Kentucky, but we have also housed people from Missouri, Texas, Indiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Michigan, Arkansas, New York, and even Belize and Korea. There is no shortage of hurting people; in fact last year we had to turn away 182 women and children because we were out of space.
