we are lili maya and james rouvelle. our projects combine robotics, custom optics, sound, the handmade, and the digitally programmed into site conditioned systems that take in sensor data and respond to the surrounding environment by generating sonic and/or visual art.

we are interested in presenting the subtle yet substantial way in which environmental phenomena actively shape and influence experience.

our process is guided by concepts of experimentation, discovery and improvisation that allow for unique, dynamic, feedback based systems to emerge as we work closely within environmental conditions on site.
