I'm under no illusion that every image I upload here is a work of art - my uploads alternate between things I think other people might like, things that I like and things that have some other relevance (or not).

They also don't follow any particular pattern or style, as what I enjoy looking at and making changes regularly - with past endeavours cast aside like old favourite bands, to be rediscovered later.

Contacts
I like my contacts - I like seeing their pictures - I like them liking or laughing at mine (or perhaps both). If you add me, and we've not chatted before (comments etc) then I may not add you for a while - it depends a lot on your own pictures and how pleasant you are.

I am also seriously short of time as I'm mostly busy doing the things I enjoy (or working) so don't add me because you expect me to comment on your images all the time as I just don't have the time. Don't get me wrong - I like it when people want to follow what I do (or whatever) but I'm seriously slow at responding so don't take offence.

Things
I occasionally see people with lists of quotes from famous photographers but, to make a change, here are some wise words from people I've met on the way..

"If you wouldn't stop and paint it, why make a photo of it?"

"Always trust the histogram"

"Use manual mate - AV is for wimps"

    Dan Norcott says:

"You take pictures I wish I had the patience and talent to take, and your long hair sweeps down your shoulders like the mane of a majestic lion.

I demand to go to the lake district again and bother trees with you."

    Landskabsfotografen says:

""I haven't been shooting for very long..." and after a while on Flickr you naturally expect a certain amount of blurred shots from High School parties, and a few shaken videos of drunk cheerleaders, you know what I mean...

How surprised I was to find such a talent as Andy!
I have now known Andy as a photographer for more than a year, and the consistency in his work as a fine art photographer, is nothing less as stunning.

The guy has more talent than I've seen for a long time, and an obvious eye for what a photo can become. Surprising sense of composition - and sense of surprise!
I can't wait to see where photography will take him either, but continue this way, Andy, and you'll go far!
    Thank you!"

    All the best
