I’m a textile and fiber artist.

I enjoyed craft as a child. When I was 13, my best friend and I started going to exhibitions together. But as a teen my creativity was neglected.

My grandparents have influenced how I see art. My paternal grandma is a member of the Sogetsu Ikebana school and does amazing modern Ikebana arrangements using found objects including metal. My paternal grandpa turns wooden bowls and shows a high standard of craftmenship.

I have been beading for years. In 2009, I taught myself to knit, crochet and cross stitch. I also sew, embroider, draw, and make cards. I have an interest in Japanese folk art.

I’m a self-identified geek and history buff. I read and write sci-fi and fantasy. I speak Japanese.
