Photography and graphic design has been a something that, quite literally, I do to keep awake. As with many other parents out there, I work two jobs to make ends meet. One of mine is a graveyard shift. A few years ago, I bought an inexpensive Fuji digital camera and Adobe Elements to have a little more control over the photos of my family and friends. Now, I’ve got a G10 and Photoshop CS4, which have been great fun. I find that in the wee hours of the morning, when I get really tired, I can fuss with pictures and I become awake and inspired—so I guess that it’s a little more than a casual hobby for me. I love the creative atmosphere and collaborative nature on Flickr. It’s a rare place where each time you log on you learn something new or see something in a different way.
