Matthew Johnston grew up in southeastern Connecticut and has always had a passion for nature. Matthew moved to Rhode Island in 2004 with his wife and children but his interest in photography didn't begin until the summer of 2007 when he began to frequent the local wildlife refuges. Since 2007 his interest has developed into a professional passion, and his style is loved and appreciated by photographers and art lovers alike.
Matthew shoots with professional grade Nikon equipment and is a self taught photographer. He has never taken a class, attended a workshop, or worked with a pro. August 4th 2010 marked the conclusion of his 3rd year in his photographic journey.
