Welcome to my personal backup-area - not just for photographs, but also for memories behind them. My general approach to photography still tends to be the "Monte Carlo" one - try often enough and you will succeed - or at least catch something odd, interesting or thing or two you like.

But fundamentally for me photography is mainly a way to balance the day-job-and-a-half..

Update (June 2008): finally took the plunge and got a Nikon D80. Adds a lot of options for tweakery before taking a shot if you want, pretty much as easy to use as the old S50 when you don't. Loaded dice for Monte Carlo...?

Update (January 2010): sort-of keeping the NAS under control. DxO helps, although as a software it is one of the best arguments for a faster computer I've encountered. A bit like the semi-ancient camera body is a good argument for fast glass... (ooops!).
