Matt shoots with a Canon EOS 5D MkII, usually with a 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM lens and Speedlite 580EX II flashgun. For wide-angle work, Matt finds that the Canon 17-40mm f/4 L is often adequate. Extra lighting is provided by his Speedlite 430EX where required.

Once again, it is the time of year that Evolution Festival takes to the NewcastleGateshead Quayside, and Matt will be covering the event. Matt's typical approach to the weekend is to get a small number of photos from as many bands as possible performing during Evolution Emerging on the Friday night, then work between all 4 stages of the festival, ensuring that as many bands as possible get covered for the full first 3 songs. Matt's primary focus during the day at the festival, however, is on the crowd listening to the music, chilling out, and moving between the festival sites.

Currently, Matt is works for SetFresh Group ltd as a City Manager, but also holds the role of Senior Photographer - going out and photographing every aspect of Sunderland's nightlife, including DJs, celebrities, and lighting effects (all at the request of club managers). Matt also works for You May Now Kiss The Groom - a recently started wedding photography website. Finally, Matt is also happy to undertake work for any individual or company upon request.

I have absolutely no objection to them being used, for whatever purpose (ie yes to press, yes to magazines, yes to media, etc), so I'm not going to stop you. All I want to know is where my photo is being used, so I can keep records!
