I am me--- ordinary, sweet, gay,
sentimental, conforms to non conformity,
an exposed pebble anxiously awaiting weathering by time,
a lost sailor searching for north,
a star willing to fall for a worthy wisher,
a drama queen aching for drama,
a single dust particle in the wind,
a fountain of emotions waiting to erupt,
a willing prey,
a thoughtful heart,
a pair of worn out slippers...
i am all these...
pathetic, i know...
but then again, aren't all we in one way or another?

Catbalogan for my first ever experience of typhoon,
Camiguin for the pastel, the springs and vanishing island,
Digos for Camp Sabros and the choco bread,
Sarangani for the divine beach and the freshest tuna,
Bukidnon for the pineapple plantation and childhood memories with my family,
Mati for Dahican and the sight of sleeping dinosaur island along the way,
CDO for my memories at Lim Kit Kai,
Cebu for the Sinulog and dried squid,
Bohol for the old churches, Balicasag island and barbecues,
Iloilo for the ilonngos and inasal na manok,
Boracay for the beach, the sand, and the sunset while having fruit shakes,
Baguio for the gelato, ube jam and breakfast at Zola,
Sagada for the weather, Sumaging cave and the culture.

I LOVE...
Tokyo for the mint icecream and Angel,
Osaka for the tea ceremony at a Japanese garden,
Okinawa for the beautiful sunrise,
And Japan as a whole for the bento boxes, bullet train, kimonos and Mt. Fuji.

Saigon for the iced coffee and heavenly Vina yoghurt,
and affordable reproduction of Klimt's The Kiss,
Jakarta for the Hariyadi family,
Bogor for the safari,
Singapore for Sentosa island, Erat and his family,
Putrajaya for the architecture,
Kuala Lumpur for the twin towers and chicken rice,
Bangkok for the food and shopping,
Thailand in general, for the engaging people i know from home.
i lurrv the fact that i am Asian!

i left my heart in all these places...
i partly became the people i met and the culture i experienced...

i am me because of the places i have set my bare feet on.

Caramoan for more islands,
Palawan for Ploning and the kasuy cookery,
Dumaguete for diving opportunities and sansrival,
Siargao for more water adventure,

Africa for the safari, people and the Africa!
Myanmar for the jades and golden pagodas,
Cambodia for the Angkor Wat and my sister Angi,
China for the great wall and terra cotta,
Italy for the espresso con gellato and the Tuscan sun,
Rome for Rome,
France for the French women who don't get fat,
Cuba and Brazil for the dancing people,
Mexico for the burritos and nachos,
and the list goes on and on and on...
