It's just rude to have a blank profile so......
My name is Mary, I grew up in Manhattan Beach California. I live with my husband in Ventura County. I love taking pictures of everything and anything.
My Flickr friends are a treasure to me and as important as anything I shoot. If you aren't already a contact of mine and you comment, I'll probably follow you to your stream and check out your work. I love to browse around people's photos. I get inspiration and ideas and I always seem to learn something.
The whole photography thing has to be fun and I've honestly never had a bad day with a camera in my hand. I'm a little bit of a home body but I am not a couch potato and I love a good adventure now and then. I'm nice and I'm funny and I'm a pretty happy person. I've been truly blessed with the most wonderful family and friends. I hope you enjoy my photos.

***Please ask before using any of my photos for any reason. I'm happy to share, but would appreciate being asked.****

Don't hate me because I shoot with a Canon. :oP

"Mary's receipt showed that she had successfully purchased the Dali Lama off ebay, but according to our policy in the Ebay Resolution Office, we can not hold sellers responsible for the sale of high ranking deities or other religious figures. Mary was the highest bidder and had her Paypal all setup, and even with the receipt in hand for $43.03 I told her this was most likely a case of fraud since the Dali Lama didn't appear to be kidnapped or selling his soul on Ebay. Her voice sounded a little disappointed as I know she was expecting the large FedEx shipment before her birthday, but I assured her for that same amount she could get a decorative umbrella, some roller skates, and perhaps a vintage I Love Lucy t-shirt and still have money left over. She told me it wasn't about those other things. She was taking up photography as a new hobby and thought having a portrait of someone with significance would really give her aspiring hobby a boost. I told her if that was the case that Gary Coleman would probably be happy to do a full portrait session for the cost of a Carne Asada burrito and some Sun Chips. Unfortunately he's not on Ebay. I can see from Mary's photos that she does have a passion for what she does and finds beauty in everything around her. And boy, what an addition a shot of the Dali Lama fishing on the Ventura pier would have been..."
