BC Liberal MLA candidate Mary McNeil is a strong, experienced leader with fresh ideas for your - and her - community. Mary and her husband, Rod, have lived in Yaletown for 11 years. Mary was born and educated in Vancouver, raised four daughters here, and gained 22 years' experience in healthcare, the economy and public safety.
Mary has served in key roles for international economic events including the G7's in Halifax and Toronto, APEC in Vancouver; and the XI international conference on AIDS. She knows the challenges and benefits of staging international events from a host perspective and has experienced international economic negotiation and cooperation first-hand.
Most recently, Mary served as President and CEO of the BC Cancer Foundation for 8 years. Mary understands the current financial and human demands on our healthcare system and wants to share her ideas to ensure that residents of Vancouver False Creek and all British Columbians continue to enjoy access to world-class healthcare.
