Originally from Tampa, Florida. I now reside in Galveston, Texas.
I am a long time dabbler in the arts and have experimented with different mediums. I got back into photography when digital became affordable. I used to paint big ugly abstracts and have actually had some success with my mixed-media wall mounted sculptures, some of which I have sold through the gallery where I used to work.
I have diddled with personal computers since about 1979 when I purchased an Apple ][ Plus. Did a lot of hobbyist level programming in BASIC, assembly and FORTH. Got a Mac in 1985. I have also dabbled in Palm OS software and have a couple of products available at Handango. Now I use PCs running Ubuntu Linux.
I have not owned a car since 1998. I ride a Jamis Ventura bicycle. I have a nice fluffy cat. I like doing yard work and fussing with plants. I used to raise bromeliads with something like a passion.
I have worked in the used book business since 2002. I still like it.
