Mission Statement
Being too lazy to write a diary, I use a camera to document my life. I like to travel and to watch live music; at some point my interests and those of those who look at my photography will intersect - that's when a great photo is made.

I'm happiest wandering around a superficially desolate urban landscape, and discovering the beauty hidden within the details. By happy coincidence, the North-East of England is well supplied with such anthropogenic decay.

Equipment
I have a Nikon DX system based around D40 and D90 bodies. The D40 is a superb camera, especially considering its diminutive size. The D90 is great for fast moving subjects such as musicians and sports. More recently, most of my output is made using the Panasonic G1, a far more advanced camera than the Nikons, and much more portable even than the D40. The Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 lens is the best lens I've ever used - possibly the finest digital camera lens ever made.
