I am a pixel bounty hunter: I shoot first and ask questions later. A concept or a visual elements catches my “eye” and forces me to reach for my camera and sometimes lights.

My work is driven by stories inspired by what I see. I might be inspired by an idea, a color, pattern, something found, or a mood.

I may plan the shot well in advance or simply discover my subject as I go. Later during pixel play, the deeper reason comes forth as I interact with the medium. Often the final image evolves from my play with the medium.

I never really know until the game is over what I was trying to say...and sometimes it is the reactions of others that brings the greater understanding to me.

I am not so interested in capturing reality, but rather, taking the broken, mysterious, or transitory moment and expanding it into something closer to my heart's desire.

I always enjoy reading comments left behind. And I try to stay repriocate as best I can.

Final Note--I don't post with any regularity, not as often as I'd like. So if you want to keep track of my stream, use Notifyr.com. You enter my flickr address and it notifies you when I post.

"Martin's name on flickr, best describes his eclectic photostream....his images convey the fact that he's having as much fun creating them, as one would have fun on a playground....

He is a true romanticist, who adores showing off the love of his life, his wife judy....and then there is his love for animals....his pooch, Franky, is one of my favorite four legged friends on Flickr....

His travel photos, especially the current Alaska cruise, make you want to visit the places he's captured with his lens...and his photoshopping skills display his mastery of software, often adding humor and making ordinary snapshots a fun and exciting image...

Martin is also very generous in visiting his contacts and friends' photostreams, leaving witty remarks and giving out many faves...i am proud to be on his Friends list; he makes the Flickr experience a reciprocal, interactive experience....thank you, MKPP, for your kindness on mine and all of your buddies' photostreams!"
