I'm a photographer based in Tokyo, Japan. I focus mainly on nature and wildlife, but I also have a passion for portraiture that I'm working on more now that I'm in this full time.

Much of my photography is shot with the lens' aperture wide open, or close to it. To me the out of focus 'bokeh' areas of a photograph are equally if not more important than the main subject.

All of my images are copyrighted, and may not be used without permission. I also do a popular weekly Photography Podcast that you can download from my Web site or subscribe to in iTunes, and have over 210 Episodes in the archives as of October 2009. I discuss both the technical and artistic sides of photography, often backup up by my own photography. I've now got a blog too, which is becoming a hub for many of my photography related activities. There is also a thriving Photography Forum, where photographers of all levels discuss all aspects of photography in a friendly environment. All can be found at my Web site.
