Thank-you for taking the time to read my profile.

I enjoy various photographic genres but have a particular interest in street photography, because of its ability to portray the harsh gritty reality of life. Most of the documentary images I shoot are posted to Flickr as well as the photo-documentary blogs ; Monochrome Brisbane and Brisbane Streets together with a commentary.

I also like studying the work of photographers from the modern era and the various styles that came to replace the pictorialism of the early 20th century. I particularly enjoy Stieiglitz (straight photography) Steichen's Family of Man (hmm, maybe this is still pictorialism), Dorothea Lange and her FSA colleagues, Capa /Arbus/Sherman and other modern photo-documentarists and of course our very own home grown Max Dupain and Olive Cotton.
