I live in Oxfordshire, England with my husband, two young children, a nutty Cocker Spaniel called Domino and a rather independent black cat (well, I think she still lives with us!)

I discovered Flickr in 2007 and soon became completely obsessed with photography. I acquired my first DSLR (a Nikon D80) for Christmas '07 but managed to kill it after just six months (a long story involving a boat and salt water!) I am now rarely sighted without my trusty Nikon D90 in my hand or slung over my shoulder in a bag (on dry land!) I still consider myself very much an amateur but I have learned a lot from the wonderful people of Flickr and plan to continue to do so for as long as I can!

When I'm not pointing my camera at my two (long-suffering!) children I spend rather too much time pointing it at waterdrops and flowers (and pretty much anything that gets in my path...especially, these days, if it happens to have a waterdrop on it!)

One thing I don't do as a rule is ever point the camera at myself! The photo below is a rare exception just for the benefit of those who are interested and, of course, my children,who may one day want to remind themselves of what Mummy looked like! I'm quite happy to disappear back into obscurity now thank you! ;-)






I'm no expert at photography but I am enthusiastic if that counts for anything and Flickr has already taught me so much (especially the fact that there really aren't enough hours in the day for all this - I wish there were more!) I am well and truly addicted...long may it continue!
