About eight years ago, I lived in Romania for four months and took about 16 rolls of pictures, mostly of these street kids we would hang out with at night. One roll we took by candlelight down in the subway tunnels.

All of those photos are only in my imagination because I lost the film somewhere in the process of moving back to the U.S. via Rome. I think I took it as some kind of sign that I wasn't meant to take photos. So, I didn't pursue photography for a while, though I kept up a career in cinematography.

I took the photographing up again a couple of years ago and I have so much time to make up.

But I still think it's good to leave some things to your imagination.
