    Julia L. Kay says:

"Mariah's breathtaking paintings and drawings are even better in person than onscreen. I recommend you invest in them now, before you have to wait on line at a museum to see them."

    Sue Hodnett says:

"Mariah continues to astound and excite us all with her ability to translate flesh into paint. If you look at her portraits you can see them breathing."

    Martin Beek says:

"I can't believe I've not written a testimonial for Mariah before now such is my regular encounter with her work. I first became aware of her art some years ago through various art pools on Flickr, I guess what I first noticed was her acute observational skills, art that was not showy or flamboyant but was very moving in some way I found hard to define. There was a compassion about it and a feeling of human sympathy. During 2010 things really took off, the JKPP portraits became an almost daily outpouring at times, one might have imagined that the quality would be variable, not at all, if anything the massive production also increased these portraits intensity.

I can hardly speak highly enough of these small well observed paintings and drawings, they depict regular people often fellow artists, they seem to connect in the way that Vincent Van Gogh connected through paint with his fellow human beings, and for that reason and a thousand others I urge you to look at Mariah's work, to ponder it and treasure it. This stream is a highlight on Flickr, go there often."

    zappha says:

"Mariah's work is strong, bold, and gestural. The energy of her hand is matched by her vision. She conveys an intrinsic energy in the world surrounding, an energy too often unseen.

Her landscapes employ enough detail for the viewer to wander through the painting, always finding something, but leaving enough for the viewer's imagination to fill in the gaps.

Her portrait work captures the energy and emotion of a moment in time. The portraits are expressive and exemplary in the execution of the painting.

I am inspired by her work and captured by the emotion each painting invokes. A true artist."

    Shitao 石 濤 says:

"As artists, we reveal the complete expression of our being in going to the canvas naked and vulnerable, and by golly gosh doing it that way every bloody time we make art and speak of art and allow ourselves and our work to be pored over and shared among friends, characters, and even the occasional doo-dah. I know a lot of artists and none begin to approach the level of love, compassion, determination, and esprit de corps that Mariah hangs out and shares, day in and day out. I am deeply grateful and humbled to make art in the ethereal vicinity of this exceptional artist. All that and she digs Bill Evans too...."

"My dear Friend Mariah is not only an exceptional artist but a wonderful human being. I am so fortunate to have found Mariah on Flickr as her work feeds my soul. I am drawn to work that is rooted in expression and the work that Mariah creates is not only well crafted but is extremely expressionistic in content and form. The work becomes alive with each stroke of paint!
I hope you will take some time to view all her works."
