Mechanical engineer during the week, amateur photographer in the weekends!

Started photography - well, taking pictures - in 2004 with a Minolta Z1. Not a bad camera at all and a nice way to learn what all the settings were about before moving up to a DSLR two years later. A Canon 350D it is, combined most of the time with a 70-300mm IS it's my main piece of baggage when I visit circuits.
I'm a huge motor racing fan, mostly endurance racing, so that would explain why there are such few pictures without cars in them here!
Living in the south of the Netherlands I'm at a very nice distance to some of the greatest racing tracks in the world, like the Nürburgring or Spa-Francorchamps - set in some very scenic areas so it shouldn't be too hard to bring some more variety into it at some point :)

So I mostly shoot endurance races, a trackday every now and then (well, can't drive all the time can you!), and I recently discovered I should do more rally's as well. Hardly ever a dull weekend then!
