My name is Joseph Kimojino and I am from the Masai tribe. I am also the head of tourism and anti-animal harassment for the Mara Conservancy.
The post-election violence in Kenya has caused the tourist industry to collapse, and without this vital source of revenue crucial park operations, including anti-poaching and de-snaring patrols, will have to stop in the Mara.
We urgently need friends of the Masai Mara to help us get the message out that the Mara is under serious threat. To give you a sense of the crisis, what money we have runs out at the end of this month, February 2008.
Update - We now have enough money for the first two weeks of March.

"I first met Joseph a few weeks ago and he helped me by answering qustions will be posted onto safaritalk.net.
Joseph and his team actually spend their days protecting Kenya's wildlife and to be more specific, they protect the lions which are becoming more and more endangered each day.
The work they do is truly incredible and I am glad he has found me on flick and I am even more glad to be on his contacts list."10th April, 2008
