Having given up building things around the world i have now hung up my Hard hat, yellow jacket and safety boots I have decided to take life a little easier and try and put more time to my photography. But for a while i was a single Dad having a small son Life did not become easier at all and being a complete failure at stopping myself constructing things my photography some times was slow and patchy.
I am some one who enjoys photographs and pictures. As they say a picture speaks a thousand words, and words that are in everyone's language. Hence the very short description here.

My photography started in when i was about 9 when my dad gave me a Ilford Sportie, I then progressed to a Kodak Retinette which was a hand down from my dad when he got a Pentax S1, I then bought a Pentax MX, and went totally digital with a Kodak 7630. I have used a few other cameras as well such as a Pentax zoom 105, a Agiflex 2.25" sq. The return to SLR day arrived, when i bought a Nikon D80 Digital SLR.

I am finding that some of my Photographs are being marked as favourites by people that have no photographs of their own, web photographs or some form of token gesture photographs. This causes me concern, there are people out there using my photographs without my permission or are on Flickr just to collect photographs for self gratification. That is not why i post photographs on Flickr. Please if you favourite a picture of mine and you do not have any of your own please if you could add a comment briefly explaining why. A simple note such as "I am a rose enthusiast but have no photographs my own", would suffice. I feel uncomfortable with what is going on at the moment I will block people whom do this if I am not getting a satisfactory explanation. I am sorry to have to take this course of actions, but I feel very strongly about people using my photographs without my permission. It is theft plain and simple and I consider people who do such things thieves. If you do want to use my photographs just ask, it is ever so simple.
