About
I am a graphic designer and illustrator based in Basildon. I completed my degree in design in 2003 at Goldsmiths University of London. The course was a challenging experience, which shaped me into the designer I am today, developing my skills and understanding of design. I currently work full time as a Graphic Designer for Frontmedia.

Frontmedia is an Essex based company which specialise in original thinking, simplicity and creative, effective design solutions. I moved to Frontmedia in November of 2007. Frontmedia is a multi - disiplinery design studo which specialises in web solutions and print media.

Design is my hobby as well as my profession. If I’m not working on client projects I'm at home working on my own artwork in my spare time.


Skills
I am a highly skilled graphic designer and illustrator. I have very strong skills in Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweaver. I also use Rapidweaver to a fair standard. I have excellent communication, presentation and project management skills.


Career Summary
Frontmedia - Senior Designer (2007 - Present) I'm part of a small team of designers at Frontmedia where I work directly with our clients transforming their needs and requirements into practical design solutions. Frontmedia is a multi-disciplinary design studio based just out side Witham in Essex, specialise in original thinking producing creative and effective design solutions for a wide variety of clients ranging from small-scale, start-up companies to high-profile corporates.

Newsquest - Graphic Designer (2004 - 2007) In 2004 I started work at Newsquest as a pre-press designer producing adverts' for a wide variety of company’s, for both the web and print. In 2005 I was promoted to Newsquests Creative department where I was responsible for producing speculative advertising for all Newaquests new clients and in house branding for all of Newsquests publications and web sites.

Freelance Web/Graphic Designer and Illustrator (2003 - Present) On completion of my degree I started producing print based work under the name Mant, (Estonian dialect meaning “cream”) producing work for a number of independent and corporate company’s. To date Mant (me!) has worked in the following areas: web design, brand concept and identity, promotional music campaigns, illustration, t-shirt design, print, paint and packaging design. Clients included TCP (The Costs Partnership), UCI cinemas, Revolt Films and GPR to name but a few.


Reference
Once apon a time in July of 2009 Frontmedia were forced to downsize due to the economic climate that has effected so many company's the past few years. I was one of there designers that was put on notes. Fortunately for me they couldn't face letting me go! And we all lived happily ever after. (touch wood)

Matt Webb has worked at Frontmedia since November 2007 and during that time has become a highly valued member of our team. He has a wide range of technical and creative design skills. This is coupled with a keen eye for detail and an enthusiasm to take on board new ideas. Matt is honest, trustworthy and would be a credit to any company at any level.

Many of our clients have commented on how professional and creative he is when handling their work. More importantly, he has got a good sense of commercial awareness and understands the need to get work done on time within the original specication of the job. He also contributes a lot of ideas whenever project or in-house work is being discussed.
