24. Born and raised in Florence, Italy.

Moved to Viterbo to study languages (Russian and English). I started shooting pics with a compact digital camera in 2008 when I was doing Erasmus in Manchester, UK, encouraged by some people I met there. Back in Italy I soon began to shoot with my dad's analogue camera, a Minolta X700, making a lot of mistakes, but still finding that it was way better than digital.

Went on a trip to Russia in September 2009 to study Russian language. In a market in Saint Petersburg I bought a LOMO Liubitel'166, a twin lens medium format camera, which soon became my favourite camera.

I took part in a photo contest, won a scholarship in November and I had the opportunity to attend the Scuola Romana di Fotografia in Rome for 4 months from February to June 2010. Apart from that I'm totally self-taught and I learn from books, other people's work and some of my Flickr contacts.
