Mal Pingu's photostream

Most photos published here were shot using either my 8Mpx Olympus EVOLT E-500 DSLR or 8Mpx Olympus Stylus 800 Digital camera. I purchased both cameras together in late 2005 and have been learning how to use them since, mostly in dimly lit nightclubs. Most (all?) of these photos fall short of my quality ideals. However, I'm getting better at it -- beginning photography anew, since my skills had atrophied after several decades of disuse. ;-)

My first SLR camera was a Miranda Sensomat which served me well as a high-school yearbook photographer and on a trip to the Soviet Union in 1973. I inherited an Olympus OM-10 when my father died in 1985 (I might have laid claim to his Nikon F3 but the Olympus just felt better in my hand) and I took many photos with it while on safari in Kenya that I hope to scan and upload sometime.
