Over 60,000 views of my photostream and over 750,000 views of my images hosted here on Flickr, thanks to all for checking out my pics. I enjoy sharing my photos and art with you all. Thanks to everyone who has posted comments - they are appreciated. I have avoided using watermarks as I don't like to disfigure the images. I just trust people not to pilfer my images for use elsewhere unacknowledged.

I now have over 10,000 photos on Flickr! I have uploaded them for family and friends to see, as an off site backup, and also to share the places I have been with the world.

I am from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia. Nice part of the world, small towns, green hills, close to the beach, nice climate... I tinker with all kinds of digital art software programs on my Apple Mac laptop and I also like taking photos - especially when traveling overseas.

My current camera is a full frame DSLR: Canon EOS 5D Mark II, 21MP. useful ISO to 6400, HD video, all those L series lenses to choose from... I use a 24mm-105mm zoom, a 70-200mm zoom and a 50mm macro lens.

I recently finished using a consumer level Nikon slide scanner to scan over one thousand slides I took all over the world in the 1980s and 1990s... Eventually they will all be up on Flickr in my account. If you have a back catalogue of slides I offer this advice - pay to get them professionally scanned if you can, and ensure they don't have mold growing on them - sometimes it is hard to see with the naked eye but oh boy it makes restoration difficult. Also, if they have a warped bowed surface, getting the entire scan in focus is very difficult...

I also have many thousands of digital pics and scanned negatives and prints that will be uploaded here as well, as time (and my enthusiasm level) permits.

I am selling the odd photo here on Flickr via Getty Images, just enough to pay for my photographic gear updates...
