Photography has been my passion since a treasured trip to India in 2004. Started with a point and shoot and have now progressed to a digital SLR. It's like therapy to me, taking pictures. I can't NOT take them.

Being a computer geek by profession, my career life is ruled by left-brain activities and thinking. Life had gotten a little lopsided for me until I traveled to India, where the colors and "other"-ness captivated my eye like nothing else had before. In the space of a year after that trip, I'd acquired an SLR camera, a few lenses, and unbridled enthusiasm for finding my own way to express the beauty I choose to see in the world, in all its forms.



In 2005 I also made into reality a second passion pursuit of mine - becoming a DJ to make mixes and play this gorgeous, somewhat-unknown music that I was coming across. Overall it's referred to as downtempo, but within that realm there is so much variation that it doesn't really do it justice. That side of my creative life took off and practically has a life of its own, when I permit it to.



Over the last few years I've learned in spades how essential it is to maintain balance - between left and right brain, between direct experience and introspection, between ardent work and meditative time. It's meant that life has slowed down for me a bit, but I'm not complaining. It affords me more of an opportunity to appreciate it all.
