Thought it was about time for an icon change.... :-)

I am a quotes snitcher!!! Snaffled this one off Nori's flickr profile because it sums up why i truly love my friends, they are the family we choose for ourselves!

Capturing a moment for whatever reason is important to me and mine....after all, what happens now is history a few minutes on.

I love my casio, its simple, and its been my closest companion over the last 3 years - its now gone boots up, sadly i may need a new compact. The reason being it can be in places a DSLR cannot go. I record those moments of life that hit, and the moments with friends, family, happiness etc

I went to art college, did my foundation year and found a friend through the press of a button and the 'B' side of a camera.

*UPDATE*
Funds and good luck allowed Santa to bring me a new dslr on Christmas day....Olympus E 300 with 2 lenses!!!! Well, you HAVE to believe in Santa....
So, I am off on a new learning curve....

Sound the death knell, I think my wee casio has popped its pictorial cloggs! Sadly, 3 years plus of close friendship has gone. *sighs* My Oly is great and i have procured an E410 body and so I have to learn techy stuff again. Watch this space....

To everyone who has added me as a contact, you definitely need your bumps read....when i view your stream,i am in awe. Big shout out to you guys. I have learned heaps, been inspired and romped merrily through your pics gleaning info and tips, its a Flickr thang and i am appreciative.

I think, from now on, i might rename myself as an aspiring photographer. The reason being, when i ask someone may i take their pic, they ask me right back, 'Are you a photographer?' And you know what? I think i might just be that! *Heres my card*

"I first met Bernie in Pottinger’s Entry, Belfast, where she was taking a macro of a Carlsberg Special on some wet cobble stones. She was good enough to share her half bottle of Mundies with me and she got to telling me all about photography and how there’s just as much escapism in its imagery as there is in the demon plonk. So together, fuelled by the booze, we mugged another photographer who said he preferred Ipernity to Flickr and nicked his gear. Since then we have been snapping away happily, avoiding police cars.
