  "my first memory of maapu was of him leaning against a water container in Aliya school. he was then known as plain mauroof . i was 3years old ( i have a very good long term memory and rarely forget a face). years later i saw him on tv performing and a couple of years later i saw him here on flickr...
  he is both an excellent singer and photographer whose voice i admire and whose pictures i envy. but he isnt best at these alone. when it comes to being generous and a being a friend he is one of the best you d come across. i am glad that i got to know him personally.   Mauroof is an amazing photographer!! But anyone who is looking here would know that already!! And if they don't know that then they are either blind or stupid! His photos of the Maldives are absolutely stunning, his sunrise and sunset shots are extraordinary, his Tailand photos are phenomenal..... Everything in here is just magnificent! If you haven't seen them all, you should!! And when you do you will be able to see for yourself what an amazing photographer he is. His ability to find just the right composition and lighting is outstanding!! And you will also be able to see what type of person he is as well because his personality is in each of them!! From the moment that I've met Mauroof on flickr we have been pretty great flickr friends, and I hope to keep it that way!!
