I'm a freelance graphic designer moonlighting as a nature photographer. Seems to be a common trend as we have our own group here on flickr. I purchased a 400mm lens for myself for Christmas 2010 and it's opened a whole new world for me. I fired off 10,000 frames the first 3 months. 99% of them were crap, but I feel I've learned a lot, and I feel I improve every time I go out and shoot.

I've had an interest in photography most of my life. I've had a passion for nature and wildlife since growing up on a farm in Idaho as a young child. We moved to the "city" when I was 5 but I quickly found that the suburbs outside of Denver offer a good amount of critters as well.

I graduated from the University of Utah with an art degree in 2000.

One thing I don't like about Flickr is that everyone is too nice. No one ever offers constructive criticism. If you ever have a suggestion on any of my image, please feel free to share. I can't learn if people aren't willing to be honest. I'm a big boy, I can take it. I know my images aren't perfect. I often question technical issues like white balance, exposure, the amount of sharpening as well as composition, subject matter, crop, ect.

Please let me know what you like AND don't like about my photographs. I'm here to learn and progress.
