In the past, my photography was mainly confined to recording family occasions, though I always dabbled with more arty shots. However, these languished lost in a pile of unlooked at photos. Flickr and digital photography have given me a reason to explore and play with images.

There are a few drawings too - mainly A5 size Christmas cards - drawing my own card has become a tradition over the years. However, I rarely draw these days.

Home is Scotland, with a home in London, we have been living in The Netherlands and now we are in India

I started Hands, Claws and All Kinds of Paws after being inspired by the wonderful shots I was seeing of hands, particularly this one by algo.

Favorite Books & Authors: All sorts - from classics to thrillers (and even things like Harry Potter) - currently into Nietszche (especially Hollingdale translations!) and testing the waters with Baudrillard.
Favorite Music & Artists: Massenet's Meditation, Bruch's Violin Concerto, O'Suilleabhain's Woodbrook, Gorecki's Sorrowful Songs and, today, The Lark Ascending which always lifts my spirits - I love the Scottishness of Vaughan Williams music.Classical - yes, but lots of other things too.
